Tymco 600 - Broom Assist Head Issue

Recommended Posts

We have Partner that is having the following issue. Has anyone else run in to a similar issue?  If so, how do we tell him to fix it? Thanks!

"There is a brush in my head. It will not go up and down. They got it to spin, just needs to go down to scrub the asphalt."

Check the lock valve coil on the BAH control valve assembly located on the left side just below the blower housing. Sometimes the ground wire for the coil is broken or not getting a good connection at the frame. Need to make sure that there is power to the coil when head is lowered and BAH switch is on. If you have power and ground at the coil, most likely the coil is bad.

Thanks Bruce. I will pass this on to them and follow up to let you know if this fixed their issue.

We once encountered the BAH system was actually relieving back to tank before the BAH pivot cylinders saw enough pressure to extend for the correct amount of down pressure. We adjusted the BAH cartridge valve and they started extending normally again. They are set at the factory, but when one fails you must double check pressures after replacing, the cartridge valve pressure should range between 165-185 psi
